Congratulations to Emma Lou Swatman, a freshman at Rappahannock High. She was voted the Most Valuable Player on the Junior Varsity Basketball team where she played the position of point guard. She was also voted the Most Valuable Defensive Player on the Varsity Softball team where she played the position of short stop.

Our prayers are with Mr. Walter Holmes who underwent surgery at Fauquier Hospital on Monday.

Congratulations to Tony Clatterbuck, son of Dora and Herman Clatterbuck, who recently married Peggy Stampley, formerly of North Carolina. They’re making their home in Warrenton.

Also, congratulations to Karen Manuel and Scott Butler who plan to wed on June 23 at Amissville United Methodist. Karen is the daughter of Barbara and Elmer Manuel of Amissville. They will make their home here in Amissville.

The community will miss Ron and Teresa Jones who have moved back to Culpeper last weekend. They took a needed rest by vacationing at Virginia Beach this week.
