The camp, which will be held at the high school June 18-21, has already pre-registered 62 campers. There are eight slots still open. It is a co-educational camp for players ages 8-18.
This year, Coach Leake said, the format will be different from previous camps. Three college coaches will attend, with one teaching each of the three instructional days. The fourth day will feature a full-court camp tournament, with the winning team claiming the camp championship.
On Monday, June 18, Tom Perron will be the instructor. Perron is an assistant to University of Virginia head coach Jeff Jones. On Tuesday, June 19, Bart Bellairs of James Madison University will teach the campers. Bt-Hairs is an assistant to JMU’s head coach, Lefty Drissell.
