Woodall led the class in small group work, reminiscing about their own experiences as students.
The groups of teachers developed lists of characteristics of favorite teachers and described their experiences with their least favorite teachers. The purpose of the course is to help teachers create an atmosphere in their classrooms that will lead to enthusiastic learning.
The cost of the program is $300 per course per teacher, considerably below Shenandoah’s usual tuition of more than $800 per course. The cost is being split with the teachers and the school system each paying half.
