United States and the sole participant in Virginia is Julianna Volkmar. Experienced host family Brad and Dawn Fisher of Washington greeted 16 year-old Julianna in early August.
Presently, Julianna plans to sing in the choir at school and hopes to play girls’ volleyball in the winter.
Joining the Sean and Sharon Kilpatrick family of Woodville is Bendik Roerhus of Norway. The tall blond, who participates in a radio show in his homeland, has plans to become a journalist. Bendik plays on the soccer team at RCHS.
Becoming the first female exchange student to join Rappahannock’s soccer team and this year’s only female player is Mette Eilstiup of Denmark.
