Choral group

seeks singers

The Culpeper-Piedmont Choral Society announces rehearsals have begun for its annual Christmas Concert and there are still a few openings.

Membership is open to all singers who have had experience in reading at least four-part choral music. Basses are especially needed.

For the Dec. 2 and Dec. 7 concerts, Music Director Lois Shanks has selected John Rutter’s “Gloria” as the major work. Other beloved sacred and secular music will be sung including “African Noel” and a special arrangement of Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker Suite.”

Rehearsals are held at 7:30 p.m. each Monday in the Fellowship Hall of the Precious Blood Catholic Church, 401 N. Main St., Culpeper. New applicants are asked to arrive by 7:15 p.m. in order to register.
