He said that he has received a pledge of $20,000 which has not yet been included in the tally of funds available for the project. It must be matched at the rate of two dollars for one. Mr. Jamieson said he hopes to use the promise of the $20,000 as the basis for further fundraising to cover the cost of furnishings.
The Library Board will be meeting again this afternoon (Sept. 27) to conduct its regular monthly business and consider further how to proceed with evaluating the bids for construction.
