Mr. Maurice Lee Butler was honored on his birthday Thursday with a surprise party given by his family at his new home. Those in attendance to help him celebrate were Mr. and Mrs. George Butler Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Thornhill of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Van Logas, Mr. and Mrs. William Gibbs, Mrs. Cary Thornhill, Mrs. Patsy Butler and daughter Angie, Mrs. George Butler Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Frank Duncan, Mrs. Emerson Bennett and Freddie Butler.

Mrs. Joe Peregory, Joseph and Jennifer were Monday afternoon guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Peregory in Front Royal.

Mr. Edmond Burke spent several days last week in the Culpeper Memorial Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Peyton enjoyed a drive into Sperryville Sunday afternoon where they visited the antique shops.
