Delegate Raymond R. “Andy” Guest Jr., Chairman of the Joint Subcommittee Studying Provisions of the Code of Virginia Relating to Horse Racing and Pari-Mutuel Wagering in the Commonwealth has scheduled a public hearing for Monday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. in House Room D of the General Assembly Building in Capitol Square in Richmond, Virginia.
The subcommittee was established to study the Code of Virginia relating to horse racing and pari-mutuel wagering to determine whether any revisions to the Code of Virginia are desirable.
At the initial meeting of the subcommittee on July 16, Del. Guest was elected to serve as chairman and Sen. Johnny S. Joannou was elected to serve as vice-chairman. Serving with Del. Guest and Sen. Joannou on the Subcommittee are Del. Mary T. Christian, Sen. Benjamin J. Lambert III, Del. Glenn B. McClanan
