A native of Maxwell, Colusa County, Calif., Mr. Luttrell was the son of the late Richard Edmond and Ada James Browning Luttrell. He was a member of Amissville Baptist Church for many years, serving as a deacon and formerly as a trustee and cemetery committee member. He was a member of Washington Masonic Lodge .78, A.F. & A.M., for over 60 years, and was a former ‘ member of the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors. His wife was the late Etta James Jeffries Luttrell.
He is survived by a son, Burrell Mohum Luttrell of Silsbee, Texas; a daughter, Jamesley Dennis of Amissville; four grandchildren, Landra D. Grizzle of Manassas, Lisa L. Kirkpatrick of Post, Texas, Judy L. Brewer of Bryan, Texas and David Edmond Luttrell of the U.S. Army in Germany; three greatgrandchildren, Eddie Grizzle II of Manassas and Lyle Willard Kirkpatrick and Katharine Claire Kirkpatrick, both of Post; a brother, Dr. Homer Browning Luttrell of Pulaski; a son-in-law, Gilbert H. Dennis of Amissville; a daughter-in-law, Maxine Freeman Luttrell of Silsbee; two step-children, Jo Ann Grizzle Baird of Chantilly and Kelly Grizzle Woods of Pine Bluff, Ark.; and a step great-grandson, Joshua David Baird of Chantilly.
