The beauty of the Basque country of Spain is brought to Rappahannock with Ane Zorriqueta. The 16year-old is hosted by Randy and Katheryn Earley of Chester Gap.
Ane is unique to other exchange students as she plays girls basketball, an American sport quite popular with Spanish spectators. Her coach, Renee Leake, reports she is quickly learning the American version of this popular international sport.
Bringing another new country to Rappahannock’s extensive list of previous exchange students is Vesna Grurhic of Yuogoslavia. The 17year-old graduate is hosted by Raul and Cindhy Robinson of Flint Hill.
“Now that I am here, I want to do lots of things and see lots of places,” she said. “Now, I am learning English,” she added with laughter.
