A Mercedes Benz, Art Buchwald’s column, and a performance by the Delaplane String Trio chamber ensemble all have one thing in common: They are all items that will be auctioned on April 27 as Wakefield School in Huntly holds its annual fund-raising event.
The theme for this year’s auction is “For the Children,” because any funds raised are used by the school for all the children at Wakefield.
There will be a silent auction with over 200 items and prices, beginning at $10.
The live auction will feature 60 tantalizing items, among them:
• A 1983 Mercedes 300SD in excellent condition.
• Your name used as a fictional character in one of Art Buchwald’s column, which appears in over 550 papers throughout the world.
