An actual first draft of the county’s budget is not yet ready, Mr. McCarthy said, but it should be ready before the public hearing on the school budget next Wednesday, April 24 (in the high school auditorium).
The supervisors will also meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 1 to = 03205302adopt the school budget and hear from other county agencies on their budgets. At that meeting the supervisors will probably decide what rate to advertise.
The supervisors have scheduled a budget work session for 7:30 p.m. Monday May 27 and the public hearing on the advertised budget session the following 7 p.m. Monday, June 3 at their regular June meeting.
A final meeting has been scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 24 to adopt the county budget, which takes effect July 1.

The annual meeting of the Fauquier-Rappahannock Chapter of the American Red Cross will be held at 3 p.m. April 28 at Napoleon’s in Warrenton.
