Anna Dodson
Mrs. Anna Lula Dodson, 69, of Brightwood, died Wednesday, April 10 at the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
She was bom June 28, 1921, in Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late Nathan and Josie Florence Dodson.
She was retired from Woodberry Forest School and a member of the Beech Spring Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Dodson and a son, Herman F. Dodson.
She iB survived by two daughters, Mrs. Annie Mae Dodson of Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Shirley Barfield of Culpeper; two brothers, Robert Jackson Dodson and William Harold Dodson, both of Front Royal; two sisters, Mrs. Loney Florence Strother and Mrs. Catherine V. Sloat, both of Front Royal. Also survived by five grandchildren, John Robert Dodson, Barbara Lynn Stalnaker, Catherine Marie Thrasher, Lisa Michelle Weakley and Lynne Marie Barfield; and two greatgrandchildren.
Graveside services were held Friday, April 12 at Washington Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Carl R. Menefee officiating.
Pallbearers were Richard Dodson, Tommy Dodson, Jimmy Strother, Wilson Dodson, Donnie Sloat and Charles Nicholson.
Found’s Culpeper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
