Runners, walkers, joggers and just those out to enjoy the scenery and sunshine are beginning to send in their registration forms.

But, this year some familiar faces are missing.

Local attorney Frank Reynolds is making room for another to compete for the Eva L. Smith award.

“I don’t know if I am doing it, yet,” said Nina Stamer of Sperryville. She has three Eva L. Smith awards. This may be her fifth year in the competition. “I haven’t been running as much and I just have not decided,” she said.
