Every one of the groups learned a great deal at the Columbia workshops, everything from creating effective photographs to remembering oral poems.
The trip was not all work, however. The students and facility had a chance to eat in an Ethiopian restaurant and also at the famous Hard Rock Cafe.
During the evenings, they saw two Broadway musicals: “Mule Bore” and “Once on this Island.”
The students topped off the trip with a climb up the Empire State Building and a midnight flower show at Macy’s.
