Her solo debut album, “Hawks and Herons,” was rated one of the finest folk albums of the year by the Post. Described as a “truly compelling singer” by Guitar World and “an impressively original talent” by Billboard, she was featured on “Voice of America,” “All Things Considered,” and played on “A Prairie Home Companion,” as well as on albums by John McCutcheon and Holly Near. Her composition “Silverplume Waltz” was released on the “Windham Hill Guitar Sampler.”
Motherhood has embraced Ms. Duisit fully this past year and a half. She is content to play her music frequently at home rehearsing for occasional gigs, while her daughter is young.
Rarely performing alone, Ms. Duisit is sure to delight the audience with her haunting harp and enchanting voice.
