The vivacious Miss Nash, a native of Madison County, holds a doctorate degree, and teaches in the JMU Anthropology Department.
Her research of hundreds of pre-historic sites indicates that Indians have roamed this area for 11,000 years. They established base camps and traded with other Indians over a wide area of what is now the United States.
Miss Nash has spoken to many local groups, including the Rappahannock Historical Society in November 1990. She returns on May 5 for this special “show and tell” program.
