Joseph Scott
Mr. Joseph Arthur Scott, 77, of Culpeper, died Tuesday, April 9 at his residence.
He was bom in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Georgia Smith and George Thomas Scott. He was a lifelong resident of Culpeper County. He was retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vergie Lee Scott; two sons, James William Scott of Culpeper and George Thomas Scott of Fredericksburg; two daughters, Mrs. Margie Ann Dodson and Mrs. Eunice Mae Lodge, both of Culpeper; three sisters, Mrs. Vergie Martin of Amissville, Mrs. Savilla Bailey of Culpeper and Mrs. Lucy Barnes of Olney, Md. Also survived by four grandchildren, Joseph Odell Scott, Jerry William Scott, Stephen Otis Dodson and Stacey Dawn Lodge.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 12 at Found’s Culpeper Funeral Home with the Rev. Dallas M. Beall and the Rev. Gordon George officiating.
Pallbearers were Clarence Ray Scott, Marion K. Scott, Jerry Bailey, Thomas Bailey, Tasker Woodward, Silas Martin Jr., Joseph E. Bailey and Eulis D. Scott.
William Colvin
William Mort Colvin, 76, of Amissville, died Wednesday, April 10 at his residence.
Mr. Colvin was bom April 6, 1915 in Culpeper County, the son of the late Mortimer G. and Minnie Lee Heflin Colvin. He was a farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma Pearl Bywaters Colvin;
