Spring band concert The RCHS spring band concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 16 in the high school auditorium. This concert will feature a wide variety of music from the 19th century French composer Hector Berlioz to a tribute to the music of Elvis Presley. “Come and eryoy a fine night of music,” said an organizer.
Co-op at health fair .The Rappahannock Electric Co-op will be co-sponsoring the Amissville Health Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11.
Toy making program “Making Inexpensive Toys for Young Children” will be the topic of a program at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29 at the Rappahannock Extension Office, presented by Helen W. Smith, extension agent. The program is co-sponsored by the Rappahannock Extension Office and Rappahannock Department of Social Services. Home child care providers, babysitters, parents and grandparents of young children, and the public, are invited to attend. Most people think that play is simply having fim. That may be true for adults, but play is much more than that for children. Through play, children learn about themselves, others and the world in which they live. Call 675-3619 for more information.
