three daughters, Erva Stover and Phyllis Judd, both of Amissville and Carol Embrey of Goldvein; two sons, James Colvin Sr. of Amiss ville and William M. Colvin of Opal; five sisters, Ruth Hughes and Abbie Thorpe, both of Woodbridge, Gertrude Embrey of Culpeper, Annie Carland of Hendersonville, N.C. and Catherine Owens of Ocean City, Md.; 11 grandchildren; and 10 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 14 at Amissville United Methodist Church with Rev. Peter Weems and Rev. Steven Parker officiating. Interment was in Amissville Methodist Church cemetery.
Pallbearers were his grandsons J.R. Judd, Kenneth Stover, Mitchell Embrey, Wayne Stover, James Colvin Jr. and Matthew Embrey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Amissville United Methodist Church or Amissville Rescue Squad.
