After the federal judge presiding at his trial threw out the so-called Kingpin charge against Marshall resident Kenny W. Allison, 37, Mr. Allison pleaded guilty to the nextmost-serious offense, conspiracy to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine.
The plea, coming on the final day of the four-day trial in U.S. District Court in Alexandria last week, left 12 counts remaining, and the jury found him guilty of nine, all moneylaundering charges.
The jury acquitted him of two counts of the use of a firearm in a drug trafficking offense and one count of soliciting a minor to sell cocaine.
Earlier in the trial he entered guilty pleas to two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
