Three men were arrested after a Rappahannock State Trooper recognized their vehicle from a broadcast for lookout by the Orange County Sheriffs Office, according to Sgt. G.A. Morris of the State Police.
At 4:40 p.m. April 27 on U.S. 622, a quarter-mile north of Route 641, Trooper R.E. Keen paced a 1977 Chevy Camaro at 74 mph, said Sgt. Morris. Trooper Keen pulled the car over and arrested three men and charged them with possession of stolen goods, specifically multiple rolls of camera film the men allegedly stole from Revco in Orange.
Arrested were Tex Ralls, 40, of Marshall; Kelley Roland, 30, of Burke; and Felix Gallagher, 39, of Annandale, said Sgt. Morris. Gallagher was also wanted for grand larceny in Charles County, Md., said Sgt. Morris.
In other police and court activity this week:
• A Rappahannock Circuit Court jury sentenced convicted burglar James P. “Dickie” Walters, 28, of Flint Hill, to a total of nine years in state prison for two burlaries after finding him guilty during a hearing last week.
Walters was sentenced to three years for breaking into the home of Mark Baker, and 12 months plus a fine of $1,000 for stealing Mr. Baker’s chainsaw. Walters was also sentenced to three years for breaking into the home of Jerry Schrepple, Rene Bodden and Graham Dunn with intent to commit larceny. The jury also imposed a three-year term for grand larceny of another chainsaw from that residence.
Final sentence will be imposed during a June 6 hearing.
