Major events are being planned for Sperryville and Washington for the Memorial Day weekend.
In Sperryville the annual three-day Spring Festival features antiques, food and music. In Washington, the Ki Theatre plans “Crossroads,” a celebration featuring theater, mime and vaudeville.
The annual celebration in Sperryville attracts about 10,000 people over the three days.
Among the featured activities during the weekend are music and a barbecue by the Woodsmoke Cafe, magicians at Faith Mountain and about 50 craftspeople at Oldway.
That Sperryville Emporium will provide games for the kids and antiques for adults.
The Sperryville Carnival is May 29-June 1, and features rides, a parade Thursday night and crowning of the queen Saturday.
