Walters has previously been convicted of five break-ins, and has 10 felony convictions, eight in Rappahannock.

Walters is on probation in Warren County for a drug distribution offense, said Mr. Luke.

• Three people were arrested for possession of marijuana after being stopped for a traffic violation at 11:40 a.m. April 27, according to Sgt. Morris.

Trooper Keen pulled over a 1977 Camaro and a subsequent search revealed suspected marijuana and a smoking device, said Sgt. Morris.

Arrested were 19-year-old Brandon Winston of Woodbridge, 21-year-old Gary Paul of Dale City and 19-year-old Liam McEvoy of Woodbridge. All three were charged with possession of marijuana.

• Another traffic stop this week resulted in another State Police trooper arresting someone for marijuana possession, according to Sgt. Morris.

Trooper S.M. Knick stopped Richard Henry Gough on U.S. 522, a half-mile south of Route 729, at 1:50 p.m. May 5, said Sgt. Morris.

A search revealed marijuana and a smoking device, said Sgt. Morris. Gough was charged with possession of marijuana.

Gough, 23, of Front Royal, was operating a 1985 Dodge.

• Rappahannock Sheriffs Office investigators were called this week when an AM/FM cassette player was stolen from a vehicle parked at Bennett and Butler Used Cars on U.S. 211, according to Sheriff John Henry Woodward.

The radio was in a 1980 Chevy Citation, and was taken during the night and reported April 29, said Sheriff Woodward.
