The Rev. Alsberry was bom March 30, 1915, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Jordon Alsberry. He was retired from the FMC Corp. of Front Royal. He was also a retired barber and had been an ordained minister for 31 years. He was pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church in Amissville and former pastor of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Front Royal and the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Upperville. He was a member of the Northern Virginia Ministerial Association of Wayland, Blue Ridge Ministerial Association and the St. Luke 312 Masonic Lodge in Front Royal.
Surviving are his wife, Lilia Elizabeth Peyton Alsberry; two sons,
