How many VDOT engineers does it take to survey U.S. 211? Only two, but they need to be out there every day for six .months. One woman slyly observed that the road must be moving, because the crew seems to be remapping the same portion of the same road, day after day.
After continually sending survey crews to inspect every square inch of the two-lane portion of the road between Washington and Sperryville in recent months, VDOT resident engineer Bob Moore told the supervisors this week that “work” won’t start on the Washington-to-the-Covington-River part until late this year and on the remainder for at least another year.
