The Library Board announced this week that Mary M. Lynch of Berryville has accepted the position of librarian at the county public library.
Until recently Mrs. Lynch worked as a technical assistant in the McKelden Library at the University of Maryland, where she earned a master of library science degree in 1990.
Previously she worked for six and a half years as the children’s librarian in the Samuels Public Library in Front Royal.
She has also worked as a graphic artist, publicity director, and special education teacher.
