With a background in nursing, Mrs. Huff has some idea how to ca*e for sick animals.
“Iam familiar with the veterinarians in Warren County,” she said.
“If one of the dogs is sick, I c«h always bring it home and take it to the vet here,” she said. The Rappahannock shelter will soon offer parVo and distemper vaccines, given By Mrs. Huff.
Presently, RAWL offers 20 dogs a place to stay. Cat care facilities will be available soon.
Mrs. Huff leaves her job as kennel assistant with the Warren County Humane Society to take t(n her duties in Rapphannock.
“This is something I’ve always wanted to do,” the young woman said.
“1 have learned alot from coworker Kim Isner and I have a background with animals,” she said. „
Mrs. Huff shares her home with three dogs and two cats, presently.,
“Two of the dogs and both cats came from the Warren shelter,” she said with a smile, adding her worst fear in Rappahannock is “that there will be dogs there that I fall in love with.” A
