Bake sale for Mother's Day
Junior Girl Scout Troop 547 will have a Mother’s Day bake sale and also corsages for sale in front of the Washington Post Office from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, May 11. Donations would be greatly appreciated, if you would like to donate a baked item please call Sarah Brown at 675-3624 or Ann Simmons at 675-3064.
Services Board to meet
The Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 at the School House Restaurant in Flint Hill.

1941 class reunion planned
The class of 1941 of Washington High School will hold their 50th class reunion beginning at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 18 at Quality Inn on the Route 522 Bypass in Front Royal. For more information call Minnie Kreisher at 703-635-2808.
Mother's camp
Are you a mother who adores her family, yet needs a little time away just for herself? Mother’s Camp, May 31-June 2, is created just for you. Selections include a facial, manicure, pedicure, massage, as well as nature walks. The cost is $150. A $40 non-refundable registration fee is due with application by May 20. Pesticide tests to be discussed
On Tuesday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock Extension Office, Tommy Williams and Helen Smith will discuss the results of the pesticide tests that were taken on 40 wells in Rappahannock County as part of the Water Quality Study conducted during the fall of 1990. The public is invited to attend.
Class reunion planned

Fashion show at Piedmont
On Thursday, May 16, the Fashion and Tailoring Department of Piedmont Technical Education Center will present a fashion show “Made in the USA” at 7:30 p.m. in the school auditorium on Route 15 South of Culpeper. The clothing, which is being shown, has been created by the students in the class. Everyone is invited to attend.
Bingo to be held
Saturday night, May 11 a special bingo will be held at the Castleton fire hall. There will be a $1,000 jackpot to be given away. Everyone is welcome to come out and play. There will be plenty of food, a door prize and a drawing.
