Eight members of the 15-1 Rappahannock High softball team were darned to the All-Bull Run District team by a vote of the league coaches last week.
(The district tournament was supposed to start Monday, but rain delays put it off until either Wednesday or Thursday. Call the high school for information on game times. The site is in Stanley, Page County.) * The Lady Panthers placed five players on the all-district first team, and the team had the Player of the Year in Sherfon Boddie and the Coach of the Year in Renee Leake.
Making first-team were senior Boddie at first base (she hit .600), junior pitcher Susan Payne (15-1 record), sophomore catcher Dietrich Beaver, sophomore outfielder Marsha Freeman and sophomore designated hitter Leah Marlett.
