Squad Week is May 17-23. The Sperryville Rescue Squad will celebrate this with an open house from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 23. There will be free blood pressure checks and free EMS handouts on medical and health information. They will also hold a cookout on Saturday and also from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 24 at the Squad building. Everyone is urged to come out and support your rescue squad.

Sunday afternoon guests of Mrs. Harald Havstad and son Peter were Stanley Reynolds of Arlington and Jane Williams of Norwich, England.

Sunday guests of Ethel Tyner and Nellie Atkins were Elder Roger Frazier of Remington and Mabel McClanahan, Ann Swab and Mildred Frazier, all of Warrenton.

Saturday Anna Fincham attended a family gathering at the home Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hackley in Fairfax. Various family members were present as was friend Edward Clatterbuck.

Last Tuesday the Rappahannock Senior Citizens and a group of Senior Citizens from Culpeper took a chartered bus to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Md. There they visited various places of interest. Mrs. Fincham was among those attending.

Happy birthday to my mom Thelma Jenkins who will celebrate her birthday on Monday, May 25.

Chris and Judie Monetta of Virginia Beach are proud to announce the birth of a daughter, Halie Christine, born at 7:02 p.m. on May 11 at Virginia Beach General Hospital, Virginia Beach. She weighed five pounds and one-half ounce.

Paternal grandparents are John and Peggy Ralph of Flint Hill.

Maternal grandparents are Barbara Barbato of Oakdale, Minn, and James Barbato of St. Paul, Minn.

Maternal great-grandmother is Anita Route of Oakdale, Minn, and paternal great-grandmother is Rose Ciccarone of Spring Valley, N. Y.

It's a boy!

Tom and Lorraine Espinola of Washington are proud to announce the birth of a son, Evan Thomas, bom at 9:42 a.m. May 1 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton. Evan weighed eight pounds and 15 ounces and was 201/2 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Lionel and Yvaine Duisit of Charlottesville.

Paternal grandparents are David and Agnes Espinola of Greenville. N.C.
