William Printz of
Amissville, who is an agent for People’s Life Insurance Company, attended the Life Insurance Underwriters Congress held Friday in Washington, D.C. at the Sheraton Park Hotel. Over 1,000 agents were present for the meeting. Mr. Printz was the lucky winner of the door prize given, a week’s all-expenses paid vacation for two in Las Vegas.
There’s music in the air, especially at Rappahannock County High School, where the choir is preparing and practicing for its spring concert. The program will be held on Friday, May 25 at 8 p.m. in the school auditorium. The theme is “A Grand Night For Singing,” and it will consist of religious, patriotic and light music. Admission is 50 cents. The concert offers residents of the county an opportunity to see and “hear” the progress of youth in one of the finer arts. The choir is under the direction of Mrs. Warren Wilbur. An “after theater” party will be held at the home of the Rev. and Mrs. Warren Wilbur for the choir members and their guests.
