ArCom acquires

The Marketer

ArCom Newspapers announced this week acquisition of The Marketer, an eight-year-old Washington area “shopper” publication, from Eitner & Company, Inc.

The Marketer is distributed to 110,000 households as an insert in the Washington Post to Fairfax and Loudoun county homes. The monthly publication is targeted primarily to holiday advertisers.

“Our interest in this highly successful publication,” said Arthur W. Arundel, chairman of Arcom, “will meet customer demand for wider Northern Virginia market advertising distribution.”

Scotty Eitner founded the publication. Ms. Eitner will continue to manage it as an Arcom executive. The purchase price was not disclosed.
