'JFK' to be shown at Theatre
"JFK," Oliver Stone's controversial movie about the assasi nation of the president, will be the Sunday night RAACsponsored movie, 7:30 p.m. May 24 in The Theatre at Washington, Va.
R-rated and starring Kevin Cosner, Kevin Bacon, Tommy Lee Jones and Sissy Spacek, "JFK" is a riveting marriage of fact and fiction, hypothesis and proof that is sure to be a must-see for years.
Jim Garrison, a New Orleans prosecutor (Cosner), implicates Clay Shaw (Jones) in a conspiracy with Oswald to kill Kennedy. Director Stone mixes in the shocking home movie, taken by amateur Abraham Zapruder, with imagined reinactments creating a vast cyclorama that sets the mind reeling with possibilities and provocations.Tickets
