Ur. uraham mlormed the group that he had received a FAX that Perot had been writing a book which will put forward his program. “Perot has stated that he will give aid and support, but he did not say he would run. But he did not say he wouldn’t,” said Dr. Graham.

Ms. Johnson told the group that at the Richmond caucus there was discussion about the possibility of starting a third party, probably shortly after the November election.

Rappahannock farmer Dr. Monira Rifaat questioned the term “foundation” as a formal name for the organization. “Even though ‘foundation’ has been a term typically applied to an organization that has raised money, but generally a foundation is an entity that stays away from the political party,” she said.

Ms. Johnson said that the organiption is going by the name “Virginians for Perot” for lack of another name. “We wanted to call it ‘We the People,”’ said Ms. Johnson, “but that name was already used by Jerry Brown.”
