* Airman Shannon M. Sauae has 'graduated from Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base 'in Sant Antonio. • During the six weeks of training the airman studied Air Force mis•sion, organization and customs and 'received special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Burke of Castleton.
The airman is a 1991 graduate of Rappahannock High School, Sperryville.
New programs
offered at LFCC
Two new career certificate programs will be offered at Lord Fairfax Community College during the fall semester: International Business and International Studies.
These new programs will strengthen opportunities for students to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to compete in today’s global economy.
Courses which apply to these certificates being offered this fall include introduction to International Business (BUS 280) taught 7-10 p.m. Thursdays and beginning German (GER 101) taught 7-9:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday.
