Mary E. Bailey, a sophomore at Rappahannock High School, participated last week in a science and technology camp at James Madison University.
The camp, called “Tech High," included work on computers and graphics calculators, tours of industrial sites, and a variety of research projects.
Virginia Power ftinded the camp tad JMU faculty and staff members coordinated the content. The keynote speaker at the closing session on Friday, July SI was retired Capt. Jon McBride, a former NASA astronaut who piloted the Challenger space shuttle during the craft’s October 1984 mission.
Miss Bailey is the daughter of Mary Wood Bailey of Washington.
