WARRENTON — Dr. Merrill A. Krolick, a cardiologist, has joined the staff of Fauquier Hospital. He will coordinate cardiology services offered by the hospital, including diagnostic testing with its new SPECT gamma scanner. SPECT, which stands for Single Photon Emission Computer Tomography, is considered state-of-the art technology in the practice of cardiology.
Dr. Kr< .k joins the practice of Doctors v,.iristopher Leet and Stuart Lipskind, and has a particular interest in coronary heart disease prevention and follow-up. He received his undergraduate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y., and completed his medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Old West Bay, N.Y.
After his internship at Sun Coast Hospital, Largo, Fla. he completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiology at the University of South Florida, Tampa, Fla.
Dr. Krolick is board certified in internal medicine, and board eligible in cardiology. Prior to moving to Warrenton, he practiced at four hospitals in the Tampa, Fla. area.
Dr. James R. Ramser, orthopaedic surgeon, has joined the physician staff at Fauquier Hospital, in association with Blue Ridge Orthopaedic Associates. His areas of special interest include total hip replacement and skeletal trauma.
Dr. Ramser received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and completed his medical education at the Medical College of Virginia. He also completed his internship and residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Medical College of Virginia. He is board eligible in orthopaedic surgery.
Dr. Ramser is a native of Harri- • sonburg where his father also was an orthopaedic surgeon. He currently is seeing patients at the Warrenton, Gainesville and Bealeton offices of Blue Ridge Orthopaedic Associates.
