Anthony Gibson Anthony Lyle Gibson, 91, of Culpeper, died Wednesday, July 29 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital. Son of the late Lee Brown and Harriet Gibson, he was a native of Rappahannock County and a fanner. He is survived by his wife, Addie Bell Blankenbaker Gibson; three sons, George Gibson of Culpeper, Tom Gibson of Maryland and Odis Gibson of Washington, D.C.; a granddaughter, Joyce Gibson of Culpeper and a step-granddaughter, Cassie Clark of Culpeper. A funeral service was held Saturday, Aug. 1 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. Howard Frye officiating. Interment was in Nazareth Baptist Church cemetery near Boston. Pallbearers were Joe Lawson, David Swan, Robert Coates, C.W. Goldsborough, Sam Lee, Joe Quaintance, Henry Wood and W.D. Reams Jr. Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Emma Jenkins Emma Mary Jenkins, 77, of Castleton, died Monday, Aug. 3 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Sperryville on June 16, 1915, the daughter of James Virgil Jenkins and Ada Sloane Jenkins. She was a member of the Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle
