Four years ago, the majority of the voters didn’t want either presidential candidate, and wisely stayed home in protest. Ever since this record low voter turnout, big politics has been running scared.
I’m encouraged to see how many people realize that no matter which candidate wins this presidential election, he’s going to stick us with the bill for years of out-of-control spending.
The tax dollars that we paid could have gone toward dealing with our own local problems, but instead they went for congressional pay raises and pork-barrel projects. Over the years it gets very frustrating, waiting for that money to “trickle down” to us.
