The Garlic Gourmet, a new coot book with 60 recipes using garlic^ has been compiled by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Coni'sumer Services for the Virginia Gaelic Festival Association. The ne>fr cookbook, which sells for $6.95, wifi be available for the first time at thfc 1992 Virginia Garlic Festival from 19 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 10-11 at Rebee Vineyards in Amherst. *
The cookbook includes all of tli recipes entered in last year’s garlfc cook-off at the 1991 Virginia Garik: Festival. Next year, the cookbook will be updated to include this yearfc entries in the cook-off. It include^ recipes for appetizers, sauces and dips, soups, main dishes, side dishes, and breads. The Garlic Gourmet also includes background information on garlic, terminology^ nutritional information and equivalents. ,
