estimates and contract to replace the section of concrete that presents hazards for people trying to use wheelchairs to enter the library. One section of the sidewalk contains a sloping curb.

That makes it hazardous to negotiate the sidewalk. The cut out in the curb will be eliminated, another section of sidewalk serving the handicapped parking area will be added, and a concrete base for the flagpole will be built.

Building coordinator Roberta Anderson reported that building inspector Richie Van Burke also recommended that the handicapped parking area be paved, but the board did not act on this recommendation. .

Mrs. Anderson said she will also meet with electrical contractors to get estimates on adding an electrical line so the flag will be lighted at night and also on bringing a line that regulates the timers for other outside lights from the basement to the staff room.
