MARSHALL — Several students with Rappahannock County addresses excelled in recent programs at Wakefield School in Marshall.
Team captain Alex Kelly of Castleton and Scott Updike of Washington, Va., joined John Davies of Warrenton in taking first place at the Thomas Dale Certamen latin competition in Chester, Va. After the event, the three students performed “iron men” duties and returned to Marshall to play in the second half of the school’s homecoming game against Notre Dame.
Wakefield students chose Lyon Martin of Millwood as their homecoming queen.
