between preserving jobs and preserving the environment. The major growth industry for the next century is in products that provide environmental protection. The Germans and the Japanese are already moving in that direction. Unless we get involved, we will have both a second-rate economy and a second-rate environment.
Only the Clinton-Gore ticket can end the gridlock that exists in Washington. The Republican candidate has not been able to do so in the last four years. He is locked in a straight-jacket of idealogy that prevents working with the 535 members of Congress.
The Independent candidate will have even less support in Congress than the Republican candidate. His tetnperament is also less suited for compromise, which makes for a good CEO but not a good president.
Only the Clinton-Gore ticket offers a sensible approach to the issue of reproductive choice. The ClintonGore ticket recognizes that the government has no business in making this private decision, but it also recognizes that there are too many abortions occurring today. It will reduce this number while preserving the constitutional right of a person to control'their own body.
