Ruby Clatterbuck
Mrs. Ruby L. Clatterbuck, 67, of Warrenton, died Tuesday, Oct. 13 in Warrenton.
She was bom in Fauquier County on Sept. 20,1925.
She was known in the Culpeper and Fauquier areas as owner and operator of several well known florists C & S Flowers, Modem Florist and Culpeper Florist.
She and her late husband, Preston Clatterbuck, who passed away on Sept. 9, 1992, founded their first florist business C & S Florist in Warrenton in 1949. Later they opened Modem Florist in Culpeper in 1963 and the present Culpeper Florist in 1989.
Her parents were the late William and Elizabeth Deale Sisk.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce A. Breeden of Warrenton; one grandson; her sisters, Mrs. Helen Frazier and Mrs. Delzie Backe, both of Culpeper and Mrs. Frances Kinsey of Fredericksburg and her brother, John T. Sisk of Culpeper.
A funeral service was held Saturday, Oct. 17 at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton with the Rev. Karl Skinner and the Rev. Gordon George officiating. Interment was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Jefferston.
Pallbearers were Mark Hailey, Kenneth Cunningham, David Knicely, Bob Silcox, Carroll Gregg and Jin Stubblefield.
George Aylor
George W. (Buster) Aylor of Boston, died Sunday, Oct. 18 at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
He was a native of Rappahannock County and had lived here for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary B. Aylor; two brothers, Lewis Aylor of Falls Church and Richard Aylor of Washington, D.C.; one special nephew, Lawrence Johnson of Eggbomsville and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Sperryville Friday, Oct. 23 with the Rev. Forrest Freeman of Washington officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home ip Culpeper was in charge of the arrangements.
