dancing. Festivities will include a community bonfire and carolling. Saturday evening will be capped by two live performances. At the old Town Hall of “The Shepherd’s Play,” a traditional 14th C. nativity pageant, featuring instrumental music, acting and singing will be performed by members of the award-winning Ki Theatre and members of the Rappahannock community. At the Theatre at Washington, Virginia, a special performance by the Smithson TYio will be featured.
Area Christmas tree farmers will be joining this year’s celebration, offering visitors a brisk “cut-yourown” walk through acres of fir, pine, and spruce.
A special event of 1st Washington’s Colonial Christmas Celebration will be the roaring bonfire and community carolling on Saturday evening.
Parking and admission to the Colonial Christmas week-end festivities are free to the public. Admission fees are charged for “The Shepherd’s Paly” and the Washington theatre presentation. For a detailed list of the weekend’s events and for further information, call Country Heritage, 675-3738.
