wheat for harvest in the spring!
The week before, the school bought a little hand mill for grinding wheat and with their hand-made flour the children m&de their own bread, which they brought home to share with their families.
Actually, the little children have been making little loaves of bread to take home every week now since last fall, when Spring Mountain moved into the huge old schoolhouse in Washington under the beneficence of Mr. Carrigan.
It is heaven to come pick up our daughter and be greeted by a warm little loaf and a room full of the delicious smell of fresh bread.
This is the sort of change I, for one, am looking for in the face of a world filled with poverty and despair.
