'Pinocchlo' is movie
“Pinocchio,” rated G, will be shown at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 29 at the Theatre at Washington, Va.
Walt Disney’s 1940 classic is back on the big screen. Everyone knows the heart-warming story of the lonely toymaker, Geppetto, who lives along with Figaro, the cat. and Cleo, the fish.
In coming weeks, The Theatre’s RAAC movies series will feature: “Thunderheart,” Dec. 6, “Batman Returns,” Dec. 13, “Christmas Program,” Dec. 20 and “Patriot Games,” Dec. 27.
Quartet to perform
The internationally-acclaimed Smithson String Quartet will perform several works by the great classical period composer Joseph Haydn at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5. The concert is part of the continuing “The Smithsonian at Little Washington” concert series held at The Theatre in Washington.
For their concert in Washington, Va., the Smithson will perform Haydn’s Op. 33, No. 2 in E-flat Major, the “Joke;” Op. 54, No. 1 in G Major; and Op. 77, No. 2 in F Major.
