Mrs. Eagle
reassures
the Town
I sure am sorry to have missed that last town meeting. Please hasten to reassure Mr. Gooch that I really did replace the tree I cut down (claimed by the town) which I thought was on my property according to my deed.
I bought a Kwansan cherry and Mr. Presgrave planted it for me. Just as I was looking forward to seeing it bloom this last spring, somebody working for the town girdled it was a weed cutter.
So in the annals of the Tree Cutting Trouble, the score seems to be tied.
So for Wheeler Street, I have always understood that the approval of the plat by the town did not operate to convey an interest in Wheeler St. to me.
Last week, my attorney requested that the zoning administrator note the condition pertaining to the approval of my plat by the town council so that my attorney can arrange to have my amended plat recorded.
Believe me, the last thing I want is for the town of Washington to start making me fix the potholes.
