Mr. Wines was bom Aug. 26, 1930 in Rappahannock County, the son of the late John Franklin and Addie Williams Wines.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann Wines; one son, Sammy D. Wines of Chester Gap; two daughters, Hope Anne Wines and Lisa Anne Wines, both of Chester Gap; two brothers, Willie G. Wines of Front Royal and Gene A. Wines of Chester Gap and seven sisters, Bernice V. Williams, Odessa J. Campbell, Evelyn W. Hickerson; Patsy A. Robinson and Nancy L. Williams, all of Chester Gap, Eulice D. Frazier and Geneva E. Merchant, both of Front Royal.

Pallbearers were Tommy Kuser, Donald Williams, Sam Linn, Mark Wines, Sonny Williams and Billy Wines.

Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
